Christian Playlists on Spotify
As I am maturing in my faith, God has been working on my heart and its desires. I have noticed that I no longer want to do the same things I once liked doing. That may include the shows I watch, social media, and music. Lately, I have been listening to more Christian and worship music than I have before. I still listen to clean secular music, but I have been enjoying finding playlists on Spotify with Christian music that doesn’t sound like K-Love. You would be surprised at how many Christian artists there are making good music. If you are looking for a playlist to listen to this summer that is clean and God-honoring, then listen to these playlists from Spotify.
I was blessed this year to take my mother to see her favorite artist, Lauren Daigle, in concert. It was an amazing concert and we got to see John Baptiste open for her. Her performance was fun and lively. If you are unfamiliar with her music, it is boho, groovy, and gospel-inspired. I would definitely recommend going to a Lauren Daigle concert because it is for all ages. I created a playlist for this weekend trip that you can follow on Spotify called “Lauren Daigle Beach Weekend.” https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0ptZlTZPpHLJ58J7Neap8I?si=f13a4f578b9247c7

A New Creation in Christ
Colossians chapter 3 is about who we are in Christ now that we are Christians. It talks about how we are a new creation made in the image of Christ. Our old selves are no more and our new selves are being transformed to be more like Jesus. The things we once did, we no longer have a desire to do. Our hearts and minds are being shaped to desire God-honoring things. It won’t all happen overnight, but you will start to notice a difference in yourself. I am so grateful for the woman I am becoming, and it is thanks to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Little by little my heart is becoming like the Father’s, desiring to do good works and caring for those around me.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God- what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2
“Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4
“A new heart I will give you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.” Ezekiel 36:26-27
“And have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator.” Colossians 3:10
