Summer Outfits from Old Navy
I recently went to Old Navy looking for summer clothes, and I found a lot of pieces. The temperature is already getting hot, and you will need lightweight clothing to beat the heat. When I went into Old Navy, there was a big sale that is still going on. I love matching sets for the summer, and they have multiple different kinds of linen sets. These outfits are great for lounging by the pool, a day out shopping, or going to the beach.
Finding Rest
“He said, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’” Exodus 33:14
“He said to them, ‘Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.”
I wanted to talk about resting, especially during this time in the summer. I am fortunate enough to be a teacher and have summer break, but even if you work a full-time job or are a stay-at-home mom, rest is important. Summer can be a busy time for some, but schedule time for rest every week. I have been very busy this week with online classes, but I have made time every day to go outside and slow down. It has made a huge difference in my mood for the rest of the day. Even Jesus took time by himself to get away from the crowds and pray to his Father, so you should, too. We are not made to be busy and work 24/7. Rest is needed so you can be filled to bless others.
To the woman who feels overworked, unseen, or underappreciated, you matter. Your physical and mental health matters, too. You deserve time to yourself to restore your soul. Take advantage of the beautiful weather and nature around you, make time to find rest, and invite God to meet you there.
